Here’s those silhouettes from yesterday: I definitely need more practice making good poses, but this was a fun exercise, so I wanna do more and more of them

Doing an exercise I found online where you through together some black blots in photoshop and then try to make characters out of them. Here are my blots: I need to get to bed now, but tomorrow I’ll try to make some designs out of them.

Finished the character turnaround thing for my Mr. Burg character. Here it is: Next I’d like to do some quick sketches for him for things like facial expressions, etc. We’ll see how that turns out! EDIT: Finished some of those expressions. Some are definitely better than others, but I’m getting used to drawing the character!

I spent a good part of this new years day sketching life poses and practicing drawing the human body, and it reminded me of a bunch of character design that I did for a college assignment years ago. Character design is a lot of fun, and I want to get back into it a bit. [...]

This one took about 45 minutes. Definitely opens up a whole new world of issues when you make something more complicated like this.

I’ve been messing around with digital painting lately set aside about 30 minutes and just threw this together. It’s my first “painting” so it’s pretty terrible, but I intend to keep going!
